refund policy

merchant of record
backer and team subscriptions are sold through Lemon Squeezy, my merchant of record; they handle billing, tax, and refunds on my behalf. this page explains, in plain language, when a refund applies.
cancel any time
you can cancel from the customer portal whenever you like. cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep your plan until then, and after that your account returns to the free plan. nothing is deleted, and your jobs keep being monitored; the free-plan limits just apply again (extra dashboards become read-only, and custom alert recipients stop being paged, until you resubscribe).
no partial refunds
I don't pro-rate or refund the unused part of a billing period. this is the standard subscription model, and it keeps the price low and the policy predictable.
if something genuinely went wrong
email hi@heartbeet.page first and I'll make it right through Lemon Squeezy if, for example:
- you were charged twice for the same period;
- you were charged by accident (a mis-clicked renewal or a test charge) and reach out within a few days;
- the service was materially down during your billing period and you couldn't use it;
- there was a genuine billing error on my side.
I'd much rather sort it out by email than have you file a chargeback; it's faster and clearer for everyone.
EU consumers: 14-day cooling-off
if you're an EU consumer, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a digital service. at checkout, Lemon Squeezy asks for your consent to start access immediately; once you've consented and used a paid feature, that withdrawal right no longer applies (this is standard for digital services). if you change your mind before using any paid feature, email me within 14 days for a full refund.
your statutory rights
nothing in this policy limits the consumer-protection rights you have under the law where you live; where those rights give you more than this policy, they apply. this policy sits alongside my terms and privacy notice.
